3409 W. Monroe in East Garfield Park

The abandoned building at 3409 W. Monroe, at the corner of Homan and Monroe is a stately red-brick apartment building with elegantly appointed doorways. In an area where mixed income and affordable housing is increasingly rare, this could be a great solution if a community-minded developer could renovate it perhaps with some incentives provided by the city.

It's time for a change, don't you think?
